The bat cave...

 Not my problem anymore...

Well, dumb and dumber didn't show up today. Too bad for them, but they are getting the ax. One of them called and left a voice mail, apologizing for not showing up today.

He couldn't have really thought that leaving me an insincere voice mail would save his ass. Nobody is that stupid. Right?

Had they shown up they would have had a half day. I let everybody leave around 1:00. Now I'm just sitting here waiting for 4:00 so I can get this meeting over, and then go pick-up my brother...

That whole taking it easy thing didn't last long...

They completely caught me off guard. I tried to sneak in, get my stuff, and get out...but it could never be that easy!

They all came up at once. All 7 of them! I was surrounded by them, and then one guy just came out and said, "We all need tomorrow off".

I know things come up, and they are urgent, but what the hell could they all need the same day off for?

If you answered, "to go to the Yankees game" you're correct.

We stood there for almost 45 minutes trying to come to an agreement, that would make us all happy. Two of the guys stormed off saying that they are going regardless, but not before calling me some very uncalled for names.

I said that I would give them all the day off if they agreed to work on Saturday. That was the only thing that I could come up with, and still get what needed be done, finished on time. They said that was unfair.

We came to the decision that all but the two that stormed off will work an extra two hours every day next week to make up for the time missed tomorrow.

The two that stormed off are expected to work tomorrow, and will have the pleasure of doing it with me. For the sake of their jobs I hope they show.

It appears to me that my "taking it easy" break was just a long weekend, but during the week. I'm just happy that this happened before my brother gets here.

This just feels odd to me...

The past couple of days I have not done a damn thing, and it is driving me crazy...

I've been working 100 hour weeks and I can feel it really starting to get to me. I've been told that I, "look horrible" and have been asked if I'm "having problems in my personal life."

I don't know what personal life they are referring to. It is pretty much just work, sleep, and other things if I have time, which I normally don't.

We finished finished all the installation stuff for work, and now it is just down to wrapping up some loose ends. Since I have faith in my managers, I decided I am going to take it easy for a while.

Yesterday I woke up around 10. I had 9 hours of sleep! I don't know when the last time I had more than 5 hours of sleep was. Yes, the medicine probably played a role in that but 9 hours is 9 hours...

Today I woke up around 7:30. I took the garbage out, watched the Today Show (which is awful without Katie Couric), went to get groceries, and cleaned a little because my brother is coming to spend a few weeks with me.

Talk about an eventful week! I don't know how much more excitement I can handle...

 You don't say!

Your Personality Is Like Alcohol
You're the life of the party, a total flirt, and probably a pretty big jokester. Sometimes your behavior gets you in trouble, but you still remain socially acceptable. You're a pretty bad driver, and you're dancing could also use a little work!
What Drug Is Your Personality Like?

Yea, not really surprised. I guess you are what you drink.

 That was false advertising!

I was walking down the street today on my way to get lunch, because I was in a rush this morning and didn't have time to pack one, and I saw a sign that said "FREE COOKIES!"

I was all over that. I was thinking hell, they are cookies, they are free, and I don't have to bother getting lunch. Sign me up.

I went over, and took my place in one of the pseudo-lines they had. I could hear people grumbling as they got their bag of free cookies, but didn't really think anything of it.

Finally, I got to the front of the line and I was all happy because I was getting free cookies. Some giddy little high school girl hands me the bag and says "thank you for making the right choice."

I say "No, thank you" and walk away. As I'm walking back, I reach inside the bag and realize that there are not any cookies. Instead of giving me free cookies like they said they would, they gave me a note, which pretty much just called me a fat ass for wanting free cookies, a pamphlet for healthy alternatives, and they included a pedometer so I can count my steps.

What blatant false advertising. I wouldn't care if they even gave me a mini-cookie, but they gave me crap for wanting cookies. Whoever came up with that campaign should be fired.
